| Durham, New Hampshire is home to the
University of New Hampshire, The Wittemore Center, Dimond Library, The School For Life
Long Learning and many annual community wide events. Durham is a beautiful city built on
the Lamprey River with its graceful waterfall visible from Hwy-108 leading into town. The
swans on Mill Pond, the many small farms, and Great Bay are just some of the attractions
associated with Durham. Even if it did not have all the advantages of the University,
Durham would be a highly prized place to live.
Durham is one of the three stops in New Hampshire for the high speed
Amtrak train that connects Portland, ME to Boston, MA.
